Ms. D is the proud owner of Oceanflowers Therapeutics and Holistic Smiles of Monterey—two Monterey-based wellness practices dedicated to healing, wellness, and lymphatic health. As a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and California State Licensed Massage Therapist with over 25 years of experience, she brings clinical expertise, advanced education, and deep personal insight to every client she serves.
Her passion for lymphatic care began in her early twenties, after being diagnosed with throat cancer and undergoing multiple surgeries at Stanford Medical Hospital. That life-changing experience sparked her commitment to holistic healing and shaped a career devoted to helping others recover, restore, and thrive.
Ms. D holds degrees in Science, Music, and the Arts, and is certified by the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. She received advanced training in the Vodder Technique under Steve Norton, founder of the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, along with specialized certifications in Cosmetic Surgery Recovery and Oncology Massage.
She brings over 20 years of firsthand experience in cosmetic surgery recovery and coaching, offering compassionate insight, trusted aftercare strategies, and deeply personalized support. Her work is grounded in both advanced clinical training and a heartfelt understanding of what it means to heal—physically, emotionally, and holistically.
In addition to her bodywork background, Ms. D spent years working as a periodontal assistant, which deepened her understanding and appreciation for oral health. “I love making people smile,” she says, “and that’s what inspired me to open Holistic Smiles of Monterey—because no matter who we are, we all smile in the same language.”
She is regularly trusted by surgeons and medical professionals for post-operative lymphatic support and is known for her intuitive care, precision, and personalized aftercare. Hundreds of clients have relied on her for recovery from procedures including liposuction, BBL, facelifts, tummy tucks, breast augmentation, and cancer reconstruction.
Her connection to healing began early in life. At the age of three, she began playing classical piano at the Chicago Conservatory of Music, where she discovered that her hands held a natural gift—one that would later evolve into a lifelong calling. She went on to study music theory throughout her life and continues to compose original music that heals, blending her passion for harmony with her commitment to wellness. Many now refer to Ms. D’s touch as deeply restorative, with a presence that brings both comfort and renewal.
Beyond her clinical work, Ms. D finds her deepest joys and delight in the simple and sacred—camping trips and adventures with loved ones, the companionship of animals, and the healing beauty of nature. But above all, her greatest fulfillment comes from being in service to others—offering comfort, compassion, and skilled care during some of life’s most vulnerable and transformative times.
